This signal generator starts with the basic capabilities of the Agilent 8647A, enhances residual FM, level accuracy and phase noise performance, offers optional pulse modulation and high power, and extends the frequency to 4 GHz. While economical,it is built to stringent quality standards, promoting reliability and measurement repeatability. In addition, the simplistic design of the front panel shortens the operator’s learning curve and increases productivity. With 300 storage registers and ten user-definable sequences (accessible from a remote keypad), it easily adapts to any test procedure.
