This analyzer is an error analyzer for the Network Node Interface (NNI) of the Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH).
This unit provides many useful functions for evaluating equipment during design, manufacturing, and development and is especially suited for evaluating the transmission characteristics of the 52, 100, and 156Mb/s interfaces used in SDH equipment.
The transmitter and receiver are housed in one frame and optical interfaces (plug in unit) are provided.
